The Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) is approaching very quickly. This is a state required assessment for students in grades 3, 4, and 5 in elementary school. Please see the attached calendar of assessment dates for FES.

Reminders -
1. Students will not be permitted to have any phones, smart watches, or any other type of electronic communication device during KSA testing. This is per the state guidelines.
2. Attendance is important! Students will be testing each day starting as early as 8:50 am and lasting until they are done. Students who are late or absent will have to complete make up testing in the afternoons or another day.
3. Please make sure students have a good nights sleep and a healthy breakfast so that their minds and bodies are ready to show off all their learning!
Thank you for your help and we are excited for this opportunity for FES students to show how smart they are!

Our third annual Coin War starts this coming Monday, March 30th! This year, we are changing it up with a Mario Kart theme. Each class will have its own Mario Kart character and get to see it 'race' to the finish line! Classes are divided into groups: Kindergarten through 2nd and Pre-K & 3rd-5th. The class that brings the most coins in by WEIGHT in each group will win a pizza party. AND if a student brings in cash, each dollar will add 1 pound to their class's total. Students have until Friday, April 4th, to bring in coins or cash. The winning classes will be announced before Spring Break. Thank you for always supporting our school's PTO, students, families, and staff!
